Delhi India

Someone told me that india is an attack on all your senses, sight, smell, sound and emotion, and it is! From the horns constantly honking the people shouting and the beggars, it’s the children who pull at your heart strings with their dirty little faces, yet they have big smiles and sometimes even a cheeky laugh.

Our first day in Delhi we had a tour guide and a driver, great way to go.

OLD DELHI – we visited the Raj Ghat – the memorial site where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated, Jama Masjid – the largest mosque in India. A tutut ride through the old city streets seeing the true color of India.

NEW DELHI – we visited the Bangla Sahib spiritual place for Sikh religion, a drive along the ceremonial avenue – Rajpath, past the imposing India Gate, Parliament House, and the President’s Residence and ended with a drive through the Diplomatic Enclave.
