We returned to Secrets Marquis to celebrate my husbands birthday, to find it was as amazing as the first time.
If you love swimming in infinity pools this is the place for you. If you’re a beach swimmer not so much. While the beach is beautiful and close by, it’s too dangerous to swim in. No lifeguards either. It did make for a beautiful walk.
This is an all suite property and all are ocean front. The bed is huge, and the rooms are a great size with a Mexican charm we have grown to love, the open concept jetted tub we loved and used each night. the sound of the ocean lulls you to the best nights sleep you will have had in a long time.
All the restaurants were amazing, my personal favorite was Dos Mares a cevicheria , the ceviche is the best I have ever had, you can choose from several kinds and also a variety of seafood, the Baja with mango is amazing.
Canto Del Mar is the French restaurant, also amazing the atmosphere is very romantic and the menu is great especially the soup.
Spice is the Japanese restaurant, the atmosphere great and they have Hibachi tables that are always great fun. The sashimi is amazing and so fresh, lots of roll options and we sampled most, they all come with cream cheese which we do not care for so they made them without.
Vista Ballenas, Mexican and international cuisine, was another favorite, the poblano stuffed chile with wild mushroom sauce was one of the reasons we came back. The pea risotto is another great dish and a must try, also the international chicken was another big hit.
The Great thing that you will love at Secrets Marquis are the staff, their attention to detail and customer service is flawless, most of the staff remembered our names, another amazing stay thank you and we will be back.
I am so jealous! Beautiful pictures. Looks like a wonderful quick getaway for you two!
