The next morning we enjoyed a lovely breakfast and now we’re really into vacation mode and truly relaxed, we then embark the tender and taken to caves which we explored. followed by purchasing squid from locals, the villagers catch of the day. Guess what’s for lunch? you guessed it squid cooked a couple of different ways. That afternoon we took out Kayaks and made our way though caves and deserted beaches, Tien and the crew had timed it perfectly so we were one of the only boats in the area. Being surrounded by the, monolithic limestone islands was truly magical.
After a long nap the evening started with a cooking class in the galley making spring rolls, and I have to say they were very good. The main event was the hot pot, which comprises of a hot plate with broth and very finely chopped beef, squid and fish as well lots of veggies were place in the pot to cook and all washed down with a very nice Vietnamese red wine.
What a great experience all round although it will be along time before we eat squid again !!
Great post 🙂
